Rang Rasiya is an upcoming Bollywood drama film based on the life of the 19th-century Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma. The film is set to release on November 7th after much delay due to the censor board's objection with their bold scenes in the movie. The film was screened at 2008 The Times BFI London Film Festival and from then has been struggling to see the light of day and that day has finally arrived. Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen play the lead roles in the movie while newcomer Triptha Parashar will also be seen in a pivotal role. The movie involves a lot of bold scenes and nudity, Randeep Hooda has even shot many passionate love making scenes with both the lead actresses and I must say they are quite bold, thankfully they are not vulgar for it has been aesthetically shot but the fact that there is nudity in the film is definitely something the Indian audience is not ready for. The film has a few scenes in which Nandana has exposed her body, she chose to do it because she thought that the sensitive scene formed the basis of the story. When asked if it was an easy decision, she said, "It was not an easy decision for me. I had long conversations as I wanted my parents to give me their thoughts on the scenes. They are connected to art and culture. They were excited about the script. They support me and by the time I said yes, I had over come all the fears." She is playing the role of Sugandha who is the muse of Raja Ravi Varma and Randeep plays the role of the artist himself. He played the role of the artist in two phases; first as a 60 year old and then as a 20 year old, all in the span of 10 days.
